What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits. Cookies contain only what the website chooses to put in them — they do not give any website access to your computer, files, or personal data beyond what you have provided.

What Nuberio sets

The Nuberio marketing site (nuberio.com) sets analytics cookies via PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how visitors use the site. The Nuberio portal (app.nuberio.com) additionally sets authentication session cookies via Clerk. The table below lists every cookie set across both properties.

Cookie namePurpose & providerTypeDurationLegal basis
ph_* (ph__posthog)Stores a randomly-generated anonymous visitor ID. Used to count unique page views, track navigation paths, record session replays, and capture click events so Nuberio can understand how visitors use the site and improve it. Legal basis for analytics

Nuberio processes technical and usage data to understand aggregate visitor behaviour and improve the product. This processing is based on legitimate interests(Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have assessed that these interests are not overridden by visitors' rights and freedoms, given that:

  • IP addresses are anonymised before any analytics data is processed.
  • The PostHog instance is EU-hosted (eu.i.posthog.com) — data does not leave the EU.
  • Visitor IDs are randomly generated — no name, email, or login identity is linked on the marketing site.
  • You can opt out at any time using the Manage preferences link below, which immediately stops all PostHog data collection for your browser.

Cookies we do not use

Based on a review of the Nuberio codebase, the following cookie categories are not present:

  • Advertising or remarketing cookies
  • Third-party tracking pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag, LinkedIn Insight Tag)
  • Cross-site tracking via device fingerprinting
  • A/B testing cookies from third-party platforms
  • Social media sharing or embeds that set cookies

Managing your preferences

Analytics are active by default. A notice appears on your first visit — click Manage preferences to turn PostHog off. Your choice is saved in the convops_consent cookie and honoured on future visits. Selecting analytics=false immediately calls posthog.opt_out_capturing(), which stops all data collection for your browser session and all future sessions from that browser.

You can also delete all Nuberio cookies by clearing your browser's cookies for nuberio.com. If you are signed into the portal, this will log you out.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Blocking authentication cookies (the Clerk cookies on app.nuberio.com) will prevent the portal from working.
